Before we begin…
Join us for the fun! This is a team fitness challenge. Your team will execute the prescribed number of workouts together and NOT individually.
How does Phoenix Challenge work?
At any given time, seven teams will be working out at seven Stations during a HEAT. The first seven teams will be grouped into HEAT 1, and the following seven teams will be grouped into HEAT 2. All teams participating in the Phoenix Challenge must complete seven Stations in sequential order. For example, if “TEAM A” starts at Station 4 to begin their HEAT, they must complete Stations 5 through 7 and then Stations 1 through 3.
The Three Rules
Rule 1: All teams must complete the prescribed number of laps first from their Station.
Rule 2: Only one participant from each team can run. Rest of the teammates must wait and cheer the runner. However, a team may choose one teammate to run all the laps if there is a strong runner in the group! Alternative, teammates may take turns running each lap.
Rule 3: Once all the laps have been completed, the team must tackle the exercise in a sequential order. Either one participant may complete the entire exercise by her/himself or teammates may take turn to divide and conquer the exercise before moving on to the next workout. Remember, this is a team event, so it is recommended that you tackle each workout with teamwork and strategies!
Example (Station 1)
Team A has five participants. Jane is the strongest runner on the team, and therefore, Jane decides to run the all the laps. Once Jane crosses the “finish line” or the Station where the team is located, Vesna immediately tackles the first workout, the Air Squat. Once Vesna completes the first 25 Air Squats, Vladimir completes the remaining 25 Air Squats. Team A then moves on to the next workout, the burpees. Maria loves burpees, and she convinces her team that she will complete all 50 burpees unbroken. When Maria completes the burpees, Ljupcho takes over the 500 m row. Finally, once Ljupcho finishes the rowing portion of the workout, Team A divides and conquers the 50 Cal Bike, where each participant completes a 10 Cal bike.
Exception
There is one exception to these Rules. At Station 4, only one participant can run one leg of the stairs, and there are four legs to run.
Time Cap and “breaks”.
Each team has fifteen minutes to complete a Station. Afterward, there will be 10 - 20 mins recovery time while another HEAT takes its turn.
Below, you may observe a digital representation of the stadium. The competition will be divided into seven workout stations to achieve better organization for all participants.
Seven Workout Stations
There are seven workout stations staged throughout the Stadium.

What is the ranking system?
Phoenix Challenge will use a relative scoring system and a scoring table. At the end of each workout, teams will be ranked according to the fastest times recorded. Once all teams completed the seven workouts, the top four teams with the most points will compete against each other in tug-of-war.
